Three ways, and when we use each
Not all waxing is the same.
Which method your therapist reaches for depends on where on the body it is going and how your skin behaves. You do not need to choose — but it helps to know why she picks what she picks.
Hot wax
Most commonly used on the bikini area and underarms. It goes on very warm and thick, and comes away without a strip. This is the one for very sensitive skin and for stubborn hair growth — it grips the hair rather than the skin.
Strip wax
Used on legs and arms as well as facial areas. Warm wax applied with a spatula, then lifted away with a fabric strip. Quick over larger areas, which is exactly what you want on a full leg.
Threading
Hair plucked out from the follicle with a twisted cotton thread. Most often used on eyebrows and facial hair, where the precision matters more than the speed. No wax touches the skin at all, which suits some faces far better.
Brazilian or Hollywood?
Both are bikini waxes. A Brazilian usually leaves a neat strip of hair in the centre; a Hollywood removes everything. That is the whole difference. Nobody will raise an eyebrow whichever you say, and you can change your mind on the table.

That it is your first time
Your therapist will explain each step before she does it rather than after, and take it in smaller sections. It makes a real difference, and it costs nothing to say.
If your skin is sensitive
Or reactive, or newly sunburnt from a week on the beach. It changes which wax she uses and sometimes whether we wax that area today at all.
Any medication or skin treatment
Some skincare and some medication make skin far more fragile to wax. Mention it and we will work around it or reschedule — better than finding out afterwards.

What is the difference between a Brazilian and a Hollywood?
A Brazilian leaves a neat strip of hair in the centre of the bikini area. A Hollywood removes all of it. Both are bikini waxes; that is the only difference.
Which wax will you use on me?
Hot wax on the bikini area and underarms, and on very sensitive skin or stubborn growth. Strip wax on legs, arms and the face. Your therapist decides once she sees the area.
Can I have threading instead of waxing?
On brows and facial hair, yes — R80 per area. It uses a twisted cotton thread rather than wax, and some faces much prefer it.
Can I combine areas in one appointment?
Yes, and most people do. Mention everything you want done when you book so we can set aside the right amount of time.
Do you wax men?
We do — chest, back, legs, and nose or ear. Prices are in the list above.
What if I need to cancel?
Let us know as early as you can. No-shows and cancellations inside 24 hours carry a 50% surcharge — it is a small salon, and a missed slot is one nobody else could book.
